Jewelry get old, rusty, and dull.
Isn't it annoying having to pay for your ring or earrings just to clean them?
Ok,
so you might think $5 for cleaning your ring isn't much, right?
Cleaning your ring 5x is $25.
Trust me,
it adds up!
So,
here's how you can clean your jewelry at home!
1. Grab a piece of tin foil and shape it into a little box (with the top part open, obvi)
2. Place your ring/earrings/necklace/bracelet inside
3. Add baking soda inside with your jewelry
4. Boil hot water and add it to the mix!
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 about 3 times.
6. Dry off your jewelry with toilet paper, not paper towel (paper towel is too rough and it will scratch your jewelry)
Note: It'll start fizzing and reacting but that is a GOOD sign.
Here are some before and after photos of my earrings, ring, and necklace.
Believe me,
there is a big difference.
Before- starting to fade in colour, rusting slightly
After- colour is back, shiny
Before- dull
After- polished
Before- dull, no shine
After- gleaming
Baking soda, tin foil, and boiling water is all you need for a polished look!
love, juliet
